The Schedule:

Morning Sessions:

The morning sessions are composed of energizing and re-vitalising Hatha Yoga  to strengthen and tone your bodystructure and -posture.

In the Happy Back Sessions we concentrate on postures to support a healthy and natural bodyposture and a strong healty back. During Open Your Heart Sessions we learn postures and frequences to open our chests, release tension in our heart regions and support a well-being. With the Hip hip hurra Sessions we practise postures to open our hips. In addition to the benefits of improved range of motion and circulation and decreased back pain, opening the hips can create an energetic shift or release as well. Opening the hips gives us access to freedom in the body and in our own unique expression — creatively, physically, sexually, and spiritually.

Sundown Yoga Sessions:

With deepening Yin Yoga, we reach out to the fasciae structures, connective tissues and joints of our body. With relaxing Yoga Nidra Sessions, we take your personal time out, let all the stress go and just be aware of yourself in the present moment.

Meditation & Pranayama:

Not every way of meditation is equally effective and relaxing for everyone. Therefore, we will get to know and practice different ways of how to meditate.

Prana means expansion of life force or breath sustaining the body; Ayama translates as “to extend or draw out.” Together the two mean breath extension or control. Traditionally, though, the practice of pranayama—releasing and channeling the body’s stores of internal pranic energy—has been seen as the core of hatha yoga practice. Pranayama is meant to nurture a high level of bodily health and mental clarity, both of which are crucial steps on the path to self-knowledge and a wholesome, authentic life. Because Pranayama is an advanced  practice, it should be practiced after having an advanced stage of Asana practice. Because our Retreats are made for students on every level, we will have an insight into Pranayama and mainly concentrate us on Yoga breathing excercises to clean and strengthen the entire respiratory system and to balance and relax ourselves ( e.g. Kapalbhati, Anulom Vilom).

Freetime:

At the Surflodge we have a lot to offer for a perfect Retreat-Off day. You can choose to withdraw your self and chill in one of the plenty chill areas on the hughe property, work on your tan at  the pool go skating at the miniramp or bouldering on the boulder wall, play Beachvolleyball at the beachvolleyball field or many more. The region also has a lot to offer. Go on adventures around the area. Explore cities, go on winetastings, go sailing, canoeing, go-cart driving, diving, biking, hiking, go for a walk on one of the most beautiful beaches of the Atlantic Coast or many more. Breakfast and Dinner:

Every morning we will be served a healthy breakfast with organic fruit and juices, home made granola musli and a choice of well-chosen ingredients for a rich lunch pack. You also have the option to book a dinner, if you don´t like to cook for yourself. At dinner, we serve a lovingly prepared three course buffet with locally grown ingredients. A healthy and balanced as well as tasty diet, which gives you strength for your yoga sessions and the rest of the day, is our number one priority.
